July Holiday Programme

Our 1st week is done and dusted. We had a great week and only had one day where the weather was a bit cold and wet. On the Tuesday we went on the bus to the movies to see 'How to train a Dragon 2'. This was enjoyed by all. The kids also had fun baking and playing the Team games. The team names for last week were Super Stars, Amelia was team captain and The Mighty Minionz, Kassia was their team captain. Both teams played hard in all the games. We were very impressed with the team spirit all throughout the week. Points were very close by Friday but Super Stars came in first. William McIntosh received a certificate for always being helpful and Tyra Cowan also received one for always using her manners, well done to both of you.
This week we have Wheels Day tomorrow and we will be off to the Onekawa Pools on Thursday. The week will end with a shared lunch and another winning team and certificates. Our teams this week are called Sour Skittles their team leader is Harry and we have Lightening Strikes and their leader is William. Good luck to those teams during the week.

Our Afcare Room

Check out some photos of our room. We have so much to offer the kids when they come to Afcare. This is to keep them entertained and busy. There is a variety of activities ranging from board games, lego, computers and outdoor equipment. These things can be done after our routine of roll call, afternoon tea, homework then activities. We also have crafts each day which is run by a teacher. The kids have lots of fun while they are here and we have a great bunch of kids.
